Best times of the day to post across all social channels?

Who else seems to face this dilemma every time? When is the right time to post your best content so it gets the most engagement and reach? Well it’s a little different to our usual blog but it will certainly will help your business achieve its highest potential when it comes to content! So here are the times most researchers think are peak hours for maximum engagement with your posts.

With Instagram being the TOP platform to post, you need to plan around peoples’ workdays. Users look for snippets of content whilst they scroll through when they have time to spare. You must post whenever most of your target audience are done with their jobs for the day which is around 7.00-8.00pm. If you’re a night owl and love to scroll 2 am is just as good!

Facebook itself has over two billion users and is the second best platform to post on, so it’s a great place to get some eyeballs on your content.

Latest research shows that you’ll want to post on Facebook between 1.00pm-4.00pm and 8.00pm-8.45pm.

Users frequently engage with content on Facebook in the afternoon and the evening when they are scrolling on their break or relaxing at home.

Twitter has pretty much the same strategy as Instagram, it’s mostly when people have free time to scroll so working around their fast paced time of the day is the most effective.

It’s best to post around 7.00am in the morning for the early tweeters. 12.00pm-1.00pm for what we call a little pick me up when everyone’s having lunch and lastly 7.00pm-8.00pm again for the relaxed scrollers when they have gotten home from work!

LinkedIn is a hard one! You normally see shares, comments and click during the peak times 6.00am, 12.00pm and 7.00pm. It’s based again on the user’s day to day working lifestyle.

A top tip for LinkedIn is if you create content that has a long shelf life it will hang around a lot longer than a regular post. Most importantly, creating conversations and high quality engagement. So even if you don't have many connections just stay on top of your content!

This helped right? Want to know more on what days to post too? Keep your eyes peeled for our next upcoming blog :)
